Dear all, Greetings from Zambia! Wishing you all a very blessed New Year!

We are fine in Lusaka, trying to wrap up various things. Timothy has spent a few weeks checking the cataloguing of Covenant College. We haven’t been there since early 2019, so there are lots of things to catch up. He also preached, possibly for the last time, at the Chinese church on 20 December. There were about 40 people attending and we all had a Christmas lunch afterwards, with social distancing and some special arrangements because of Covid-19.

It seems the very contagious South African strain of Covid-19 has come to Zambia and from last week the number of confirmed cases increased a lot and now every day we have 100 to 300 new cases. Please pray that we will be kept safe as most Zambians do not take Covid-19 seriously and that this second wave will not last long.

We have lots of rain this year and this is good as we definitely need them to fill up the hydro lakes.

We have started packing and giving away things that we won’t need or can’t bring back. We have posted three parcels back and after that the post office said they are no longer shipping parcels to New Zealand, possibly they are losing money on that route as there is not much traffic between Zambia and New Zealand. The three parcels will take long to arrive but they assure us that they will arrive.

We are so moved by all the preparations and help given to us prior to our return. Words cannot express our heartfelt thanks and these efforts definitely will help us to settle back to New Zealand life quickly without any need to worry. Our Lord is indeed good to us.

Please continue to pray that God will walk in front of us and as we follow his will we will see his provision and guiding hands in every step that we have to take. Blessings.
